It looks like Paris Hilton generated some attention in South Africa, but for the wrong reason. She was detained and questioned by South African police officers after someone she was with, go caught smoking pot at the World Cup Stadium, the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
Paris was only briefly detained and released soon after the incident. The cops even apologized to her for not knowing who she was. The person who was actually smoking marijuana pled guilty. They were forced to pay a fine and were soon released.
