Michael Jackson lost the fight to stop an auction of hundreds of items from his Neverland Ranch Friday, when Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brett Klein rejected a bid to have the King of Pop’s possessions returned to him.
The items, which include some of Jackson’s costumes, the gates to Neverland, artwork by Macaulay Culkin, MTV Video Music Awards, crystal-encrusted gloves and even a carousel hours given to Jackson by Liz Taylor, are due to be auctioned off on April 22.
Jackson’s attorneys have been fighting the auction, which is being organized by Julien’s Auction house, for some time now but Friday’s ruling will not be the end of it – another motion for an injunction to stop the sale is to be heard on April 15, the Associated Press reports.
