Nobody was laughing at comedian Katt Williams this week after he was arrested on weapons charges in midtown Manhattan. Police say they pulled him over for driving a car without license plates.
The 35-year-old performer was released on bail Thursday just in time to make it for his show at Carnegie Hall. He told the audience that he “just got out of jail.”
Police say a handgun (or two or three according to police) was found in Williams’ car after he was stopped for the alleged traffic violation. Illegal handgun and no license for the car. It remains to be seen whether that merits a slap on the wrist — or a stern look– from the judge??
Last month, Williams did not show up for his gig as host of theBET awards, and the comic also didn’t make it to appear on “Late Night With Conan O’Brien”… Fame does change folks, doesn’t it…
