Super hero fans are in for another treat this week, today Warner Bros. released the first official photo of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises.
Filming of The Dark Knight Rises has been taking place in Pittsburgh and while unofficial photos have been leaked from the set taken by the public passing by. None of the shots have given as good a view as the official shot released by Warner Bros. today. Up until now there has been speculation as to whether Anne Hathaway’s character, Selina Kyle was going to become Catwoman for the plot of this film, clearly she is.
Earlier rumors claiming that the new Selina Kyle outfit would be less suggestive than previous portrayals of Catwomen have proven to be correct.
“Anne’s outfit is more tactical, like the comic book, than the previous Batman movies,” a source had told HollywoodLife. ‘She will definitely be wearing the goggles, and it’s going to be less sexy than Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman costumes. She’s going to look more like a robber.’
The Dark Knight Rises also stars Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine and is set to be released in July 2012.
