Britney Spears Shares Things She’s Now Able To Do Since End of Conservatorship

Britney Spears is opening up about the little ways her life has changed since being declared free from her conservatorship, which happened just before the past weekend.

Hint of Her Thoughts

The 39-year-old singer’s 13-year conservatorship officially ended, and the singer is thanking the Free Britney movement once again in a new Instagram video.

In the caption she wrote that she wants to share a bit of her thoughts before she goes and “set things square on Oprah”

She added:
“I do know how embarrassing is to share the fact I’ve never seen cash or wasn’t able to drive my car …. but honestly it still blows my mind every day I wake up how my family and the conservatorship were able to do what they did to me … it was demoralizing and degrading !!!! I’m not even mentioning all the bad things they did to me which they should all be in jail for … yes including my church going mother !!!! I’m used to keeping peace for the family and keeping my mouth shut … but not this time … I have NOT FORGOTTEN and I hope they can look up tonight and know EXACTLY WHAT I MEAN !!!!

Thankful to the Fans

In the video the pop star said:

“I’ve been under conservatorship for 13 years. It’s a really long time to be in a situation you don’t want to be in. I’m just grateful, honestly, for each day and to be able to the keys to my car and to be independent.”

Continuing on in the video, Britney also said that in the five days since her conservatorship, there have been some big little changes including seeing cash for the first time and “being able to buy candles.”

“I’m a very strong woman, so I can only imagine what the system has done to those people. So hopefully my little story, hopefully my story will make an impact and make some changes in the corrupt system,” she says.

Britney then directly thanked the #FreeBritney movement, saying, “The #FreeBritney movement, you guys rock.”

“My voice was muted and threated for so long, and I wasn’t able to speak up or say anything, and because of you guys and awareness of kind of knowing what was going on and delivering that news to the public for so long, you gave it awareness to all of them.”

“Because of you, I honestly think you guys saved my life in a way. 100%.”
