ABC News Shrinking or Sinking in Bad Economy

ABC News plans to shrink by 25% because of increased financial pressure.

The network will go through a top-to-bottom reshuffle to revamp the way it gathers and produces news.

ABC News president David Westin said that the news will undergo a “fundamental transformation that will ultimately affect every corner of the enterprise”.

The area at most risk — report staff that produce news magazines 20/20 and Good Morning America, says the Los Angeles Times.
