Yvette Vickers, Hollywood actress and former playmate has been found dead in her home a year after she actually died. Yvette was 82 when she died in her Beverly Hills home, her mummified body was discovered on April 27 by her neighbor Susan Savage.
Susan became worried when she noticed that letters and cobwebs were collecting in the letter box. The house was reportedly in poor condition and was also packed with boxes. A space heater was still running in the room where Vickers body was found. An autopsy has been ordered, although there’s no suspicion of foul play.
“We’ve all been crying about this,” Savage said. “Nobody should be left alone like that.”
In her later life Vickers apparently kept to herself and she became convinced that she was the victim of a stalker. Actress Susan Savage, spoke to the Times;
“She kept to herself, had friends and seemed like a very independent spirit,”…“To the end she still got cards and letter[s] from all over the world requesting photos and still wanting to be her friend.”
Vickers, starred in cult films like Attack of the 50-Foot Woman (1958) and Attack of the Giant Leeches (1959), also in 1959 she was named Playboy’s Miss July. Her last feature role was in a 1990 horror called “Evil Spirits”.
