The husband of famed country singer Wynonna Judd had to have his left leg amputated after being badly injured in a motorcycle accident this weekend. Michael Scott Moser was driving his Harley Davidson motorcycle when he swerved out of his lane and rammed his motorcycle into a side door of an oncoming Chevy Malibu.
He suffered serious injuries, though not life-threatening and was reported to have severed his leg. Following the crash, Moser had to be airlifted to Rapid City Regional Hospital. Judd was driving in front of Moser, but was not injured. The driver of the Chevy Malibu was also not injured in the accident.
Judd had to cancel her show at the Deadwood Mountain Grand Hotel and Casino following the accident. It was announced on her official Facebook account. She also assured her fans on Facebook that the show will be rescheduled at a later date.
Following the accident, Moser needed to undergo surgery after he severed his left leg in the crash, which was why he needed to be airlifted to Rapid City. Doctors had determined the necessity of having to amputate the leg above the knee. Judd’s representatives say that this surgery could create concern especially to Moser and Judd since he is also the drummer of Judd’s band.
After the incident, fans and friends have endlessly sent their well-wishes to the family. Judd’s representative told TMZ, “Judd and Moser appreciate all of the quick medical and police responders as well as the hospital staff and well-wishes from family, friends and fans.”
