Noah Wyle has confirmed that George Clooney will be returning to ER before the show ends. The rumor that he would step back into the roll of Doug Ross were fueled and then doused so often that no one was really certain.
A show insider told Entertainment Tonight that the actor was scheduled to film a cameo appearance this week.
When he was asked by Us Weekly what he thought of Clooney’s return, Wyle replied: “I think it’s great.
“There were interesting conversations to try and figure out where everyone was and how they felt about coming back and doing the final few episodes. I think ultimately everyone is really excited and eager to have a sense of closure to what’s been the most defining jobs of all of our lives.”
