The two American Idol finalists Kris Allen and Adam Lambert performed at the Nokia Theatre yesterday, before the result of about 100 million votes was revealed.

And the winner of this season’s show turned out to be 23-year-old business-school student Kris Allen from Conway, Arkansas.
“Adam deserves this. I’m sorry, I don’t even know what to feel right now,” a surprised Allen said after the announcement was made.
Allen wasn’t considered a favorite going into yesterday’s finale and even judge Simon “Mr. Nasty” Cowell seemed to think that Lambert was the one who would take home the Idol title this season.
