Pearl Jam Bass Player Mugged
Three masked men who it is reported were dressed in black came from a wooded area behind the Southern Tracks recording studio and attacked Ament and his employee last month as they arrived in a rented car. Dekalb County police say that the men smashed the windows in the Jeep, grabbed a Blackberry and a couple of computers before demanding money.
When the victim attempted to run he was knocked to the ground and later had to be treated for head injuries.
They made away with $3,000 cash, a passport, as well as computers and other equipment worth more than $4,000. Paramedics treated Ament for head injuries.
