Last year, no one attended the Golden Globes because of a writers’ strike, but this year it was business as usual and everybody was there… Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Eva Mendez, Kevin Bacon, Miley Cyrus & daddy Billy Ray, Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony, Beyonce & Jay-Z… the list goes on and on!
The Winners…
Yesterday’s Golden Globes turned out to be a great event for the movie “Slumdog Millionaire”, which won four awards including Best Motion Picture Drama and Best Director for Danny Boyle.
The night also marked Mickey Rourke’s comeback as an actor, as he walked off with the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture drama for his role in the new flick “The Wrestler.”
It was also a big night for HBO’s mini-series “John Adams”. The series won four Golden Globes, while NBC’s comedy series “30 Rock” took home three Golden Globes, including Best Actor (Alec Baldwin) and Actress (Tina Fey) in a Musical or Comedy.

The Wrestler is a great movie. I wouldn’t be surprised if Rourke gets an Academy Award as well!
My bet is on Leonardo DiCaprio for his great performance in Revolutionary Road. He was even great in Body of Lies.
Mickey Rourke’s comeback story reminds me a lot of Robert Downey Jr. for some reason
