An elderly gentleman in England credits a bottle of whiskey with saving him.
According toDigital Spy, it happened this way…The older man tripped over a phone cord when the power failed in his apartment. The force of his fall to the sofa caused the sofa to fall over. Being unable to lift the sofa from him, he was trapped for a bit more than two days. His fall had knocked down a whiskey bottle, fortunately for him.
At this point, having nothing to drink, other than a bottle of whiskey which had fallen into his reach when he fell, he states that he sipped on it for two days, until his grandson came to check on him and called emergency services
The man spent five days in the hospital recovering from the injuries he received when the sofa flipped on top of him.
