What’s the deal with the green screen, McCain? (Video)

When John McCain began his acceptance speech Thursday, he had some kind of giant green screen behind him - or at least so it appeared to TV audiences for the first minutes of the speech.

On close-up, the viewers only saw green, but on a wider shot, it turned out to be the lawn in front of Walter Reed Middle School in North Hollywood, CA.

The green screen reminded people of McCain’s speech in June, which led to the Green Screen Challenge on YouTube. You know, those McCain videos with different backgrounds, like these ones:
