At least one character will die on the up and coming True Blood’s third season, creator Alan Ball confirmed.

TV Guide reported that, Ball was cryptic over the identity of the character, but said that “it’s a person we’ll be happy to see go”.

He added: “Somebody is going to bite the dust and it’s going to be really good to see them get what they deserve.”

Previous deaths include Sookie Stackhouse’s grandmother Adele, and maenad Maryann Forrester, who met a grisly end in the season two finale.
