Toni Braxton, 41, had a tumor removed from her breast last month.
“I was worried about what they would find, but it was benign,” she says in an interview with US Magazine. “I was very fortunate. Cancer knows no race, no creed, no color.”
According to the Boston Herald, doctors discovered the lump in her breast during a routine checkup in August, but told her that she could continue filming ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars”. Once she was eliminated from the show on October 21, she returned for another checkup and the doctors then said that she needed to have the lump removed.
She had the tumor removed just one week before DWTS’s November 25 finale.
