Singing legend, Tom Jones has had a health scare which forced him to cancel a concert and go into hospital in Monte Carlo. Tom Jones has been on tour for three months and it was to be his last gig, but instead he ended up being admitted to Princess Grace Hospital for the weekend
An official statement was released which said;
“Sir Tom was ordered by doctors not to perform in Monte Carlo yesterday evening, due to severe dehydration.”
“This was extremely disappointing for Tom, the band and all connected with the tour,” said the statement. “There are no heart problems, as has been reported in the press.”
At 71 years old Tom Jones is doing well to have taken on such a hectic touring schedule which included performing at festivals in the “throes of high summer heat”. Doctors have put his ‘heart scare’ down to severe dehydration, he has now been released from hospital and is said to be recovering well.
