The Start of Something New for Leah Remini

Leah Remini is hitting it big in her stardom.

Leah Remini’s reality television show “It’s All Relative” just wrapped up its second season this past week. The actress and her family were relieved when her daughter, Sofia’s, nanny was cleared of having breast cancer during the season finale. Remini then shared a picture on Instagram just a few days later of her daughter, Sofia, getting baptized into the Catholic Church.

Leah Remini was in the spotlight just two years previously for leaving the Church of Scientology.  Remini has since opened up a little bit about her reasoning behind leaving the Church of Scientology. Earlier reports claim that the reason behind her leaving is due to being subject to years of interrogation and thought modifications. Even going as far as to stating that one of the reasons Remini has decided to stop being a parishioner was because of policies that prevented questioning the leadership of David Miscavige. While she has not given a list of reasons since leaving the church, she has said that it was hard. She has also said that her daughter played a huge part in the leaving of the religion. Remini had said that her mother was part of the Church of Scientology growing up and she had always felt that the church was “more important”. Remini had also stated that because it required so much time in her already busy life, she was missing important parts of her daughter’s life.

After sharing the pictures of the baptism of her daughter, however, her husband Angelo Pagan stated “by the way @LeahRemini and I have always been catholic!” The actress was baptized as a baby into the Catholic Church, but later joined the Church of Scientology as a child because her mother had joined. She has stated on twitter that her and her family have “gone home” and responded to a fan on twitter declaring the baptism “happened at the right time, our daughter was aware of what she was accepting and that was beautiful to witness”.  Leah Remini and her family are looking forward to their new beginnings.
