“The Dark Knight” is shattering even more box-office records.

The movie has now set a record for the biggest three-day opening all-time with $155.3 million, surpassing “Spider-Man 3″ by $4.2 million.

It also set a record for midnight showings in its opening night with $18.5 million, surpassing the former record holder “Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith” ($16.9 milion).

“We knew it would be big, but we never expected to dominate the marketplace like we did,” said Dan Fellman, head of distribution for Warner Bros.
