cTed Danson has joined the hit CBS series CSI, he will be filling the shoes of Laurence Fishburne who after two and a half seasons on the show has decided not to renew his contract. Although Fishburne was received well on the show he still couldn’t lift the ratings back to the same levels as when William Petersen led the forensic team. Peterson left quiet a mark on the show after eight and a half seasons.
Danson has won two Emmy awards and he currently has a hit show on HBO, Bored to Death. He will be returning for the shows third season despite his new role on CSI.
On the topic of the shows new addition, the shows executive producer Don McGill stated;
“From the moment we all started talking about the role, it was clear he couldn’t be more perfect,” said McGill. “Intelligence, wit, warmth, depth of character and emotion, he brings it all. And now he’ll have to bring latex gloves, too.”
