Short Academy Awards Recap…
“Slumdog Millionaire” took home eight Academy Awards last night, including Best Picture, and the late Heath Ledger got what he deserved – An Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in “The Dark Night”.
Mickey Rourke did not end up with a Best Actor award after all. Instead, it was Sean Penn who took home that honor for his role in “Milk”.
Kate Winslet won the Best Actress in a Leading Role category for her role in “The Reader”, while Penélope Cruz won the Best Supporting Actress category.
