During July we brought you the news that Sir Elton John was suffering from appendicitis and was lucky to be alive. Now some seven weeks later he has had the operation and is raring to go and “can’t wait” to get back behind his piano to perform again.
A close friend of Elton told the Daily Mirror Newspaper the following. They said, “He had a tough few weeks and was in a real bad way, so there were fears that he wouldn’t be back at the piano for months. The pain was horrible, but the break to recover has done him the world of good. Elton was born to be on the stage and once he had the operation he said he couldn’t wait to start playing again.”
Sir Elton, 66, has been recuperating in the South of France at the family home he shares with his husband David Furnish. Earlier this week he said, “I feel great. I can’t wait to get back on stage.”
It is great news to hear that Sir Elton John is fit and well and ready to perform again, and it will not be long until he is back in action because he will be taking to the stage in just a few days time at the BRITs Icon Awards Ceremony where he will be the guest of honour.
