Pop mogul and multi millionaire Simon Cowell is worth in the region of £225million, but when he leaves this world he will not be leaving his hard earned fortune to his friends or family, instead he will be leaving it to charity!
Cowell, 53, is all set to become a father for the first time as his girlfriend Lauren Silverman is pregnant. You would think that they would both be well provided for in the event of Simon’s death, but according to Mr Cowell he will be leaving his fortunes elsewhere. Speaking to Esquire Magazine Cowell said, “I don’t believe in passing on from one generation to another. I’m going to leave my money to somebody. A charity, probably – kids and dogs.”
Cowell has no intentions of going anywhere just yet, let alone retire from the job he loves so much. He went on to say, “A lot of people who retire, they hate their job so much, they just love the idea of not working any more. That horrifies me. I’m going to be still working in my 80s or 90s.”
By then Simon Cowell’s fortune will probably be worth far more than it is today so his son and heir will no doubt have very little to worry about when it comes to all things money, something that Simon was quick to point out. He said, “Your legacy has to be that hopefully you gave enough people an opportunity, so that they could do well, and you gave them your time, taught them what you know.”
