A 77-year-old shopaholic was crushed to death in her home after a mountain of unopened goods collapsed on top of her, the British tabloid The Mirror reports.
Police officers reportedly searched the lady’s residence after worried friends said they had not been able to reach her for days. It took police two days to sift through the huge piles of ornaments, videotapes, clothes and other items before they found her body.
The woman was found in a back bedroom buried under a mountain of suitcases, all packed with items she had bought but never opened.
The lady had reportedly been a shopaholic for more than 15 years. According to Metro.co.uk, she hardly ever used or even opened the stuff that she bought. Instead, she just stockpiled everything in her home and her car.
