A Swedish woman faked her own madness in order to get her college degree.
35-year-old Ann Odell staged a false suicide attempt, stood on the edge of a bridge in Stockholm and after her rescue by the police, she was taken to the hospital where she yelled and spat at medical staff before being sedated and tied down.
Odell was discharged the next morning when she told doctors that her actions were a stunt for her degree at Sweden’s University College of Arts.
Frankly, anyone who is that horribly desperate, should have been kept in hospital to determine why they acted out in such a fashion.
“It’s not only disgraceful that she used our resources, but what she also did to other patients, the staff – to everyone – is shameless,” said the hospital’s physician David Eberhard.
“She and the head of her college ought to cut their hair and get real jobs.
