Headline this past week have told plenty about those who have started new romances as well as those who just may be rekindling those old sparks, but they have also made the official announcement of the ending to another love story. On the 7th of March 2017, Scarlett Johansson officially filed for a divorce from her husband, Romain Dauriac. Johansson and Dauriac have been a husband and wife team for 2 ½ years, and well things just could get down and dirty: This divorce filing came to Romain as a shock from whom she had already been separated from, and the same goes for her request for joint custody of Rose the couple’s 2 year old daughter.
Dauriac’s lawyer told multiple people that Romain will in fact fight for custody of his daughter. Romain stated that it is very unfortunate that Scarlett filed papers in court making their very private life and personal differences so public. He is asking her to withdraw the action against him and to go back to the negotiating table even though this just may be uncomfortable. That they are the parents of a very young beautiful daughter that they will continue to co-parent for many years to come as well as share in her joys as well as her sorrows as many parents have done before them.
Scarlett made her own statement: stating basically that she is done discussing this matter. As a private person and a devoted mother with the awareness that one day her daughter will be old enough to read the news that she will never be commenting on the dissolution of her marriage.
