You’re kidding.. the self appointed bad girl of the comedy community actually offends?
Sarah Silverman has reportedly gave a somewhat controversial speech at a technology conference.
She was appearing at the TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) event in Long Beach, CA last week.
However, her comedy routine which included a comment about children with special needs – left many in attendance unimpressed. Her less than politically correct routines often get rave reviews, but this time she flopped.
According to the Evening Standard, Silverman told the crowd: “I want to adopt a special needs child because adopting a special needs child, who would do that? Only an awesome person, right?”
Apparently bigotry is okay so long as its not about special needs kids…
