Former VP candidate Sarah Palin is furious with Levi Johnston – the father of her 18-year-old daughter’s baby – for talking about his and Bristol’s sex life on an episode of The Tyra Banks Show which will air April 6.
On the show, 18-year-old Johnston tells Banks that he thinks Sarah Palin knew that he and her daughter, Bristol, were having sex while they were living at Palin’s home. “I’m pretty sure she probably knew. Moms are pretty smart,” Johnston says. He also adds that he and Bristol used to practice safe sex “most of the time,” before they broke up.
Johnston’s appearance on the show (as well as the fact that his mother and sister were there too, talking about the gag order forced on them during Palin’s VP campaign) has made Sarah Palin and her family so upset that they have released as statement about the whole thing.
“Bristol did not even know Levi was going on the show. We’re disappointed that Levi and his family, in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship… It is unfortunate that Levi finds it more appealing to exploit his previous relationship with Bristol than to contribute to the well being of the child,” says the statement according to People magazine.
The statement also reveals that Bristol’s focus right now is on raising her son, completing her education and advocating abstinence (hmmm… isn’t it a little late for that?).
