Sarah Palin Resigns Alaska Post

Sarah Palin stepped up to the microphone and announced calmly that she is stepping down. No reasons given, though speculation has her running for the president in the next election.
“We’ve got to put first things first. I love my job, and I love Alaska. I am doing what’s best for Alaska,” Palin said Friday at a news conference in her hometown of Wasilla.
In point of fact, Republicans seem to feel that she has a good chance of making America’s first female president.
