In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, “Sex and The City” star Sarah Jessica Parker, 44, opens up about the fact that she and her husband, 47-year-old actor Matthew Broderick, are expecting twins through a surrogate.
Parker admits that she and her husband turned to a surrogate after years of unsuccessful attempts of trying to get pregnant after the birth of their now 6-year-old son.
“Well, you know, we’ve been trying to expand our family for a number of years and we actually have explored a variety of ways of doing so. This was one of the things we discussed with seriousness that had real possibilities for us,” Parker tells the television show and adds: “It would be odd to have made this choice if I was able to, you know, have successful pregnancies since my son’s birth.”
Sarah Jessica Parker also expresses her anger about how the woman carrying her twins has been targeted by the tabloids and followed by the paparazzi.
“I am incredibly outraged by the sort of extraordinary and unprecedented invasion of her privacy,” Parker tells Access Hollywood. “She’s had her phone hacked, her personal computer information hacked, she’s had threats against her and true harassment… She’s had friends threatened and family threatened and she’s had family of friends threatened.”
