Sam Worthington had been arrested on Saturday for allegedly picking a fight in front of a restaurant in Atlanta. The actor even needed to be subdued using a pepper spray. This happened after the bouncer at the restaurant refused to let him enter the premises because the people manning the door thought he was too intoxicated.
Worthington got into an argument when he was denied entrance because he could not present an ID that was required to get inside Vortex Bar and Grill. He became disorderly and pushed the bouncer twice, which resulted to him being maced. The bouncer subdued and cuffed the actor and waited for the police to arrive.
In a later interview with bouncer Jerry Link, the actor was reportedly screaming outside the restaurant that he was a DEA Agent. Link recounted the incident saying that everyone thought the actor was a homeless person because of his clothes and that he was too drunk to enter the bar. The actor was later charged with disorderly conduct, but the charges were later dismissed in the morning as Link did not show up in court.
The actor is in Atlanta to film his new movie, “Ten”, along with co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger. In the movie, Worthington is playing a role of a DEA agent, which could have inspired him to scream that he was a DEA Agent outside Vortex.
