To Kill A Mockingbird director Robert Mulligan died this week at aged 83.Mulligan, who received an Oscar nomination for the 1962 cult classic, died at his Connecticut home on Friday reportedly from a heart attack.
The New York-born director, who began on live television, directed over 20 films, including Bloodbrothers and The Man In The Moon, which was the film debut of Reese Witherspoon.
Mulligan directed some of the top stars to ever hit Hollywood, including Paul Newman, Steve McQueen and Sidney Poitier.
To Kill A Mockingbird, which won three Academy Awards, including Best Actor for star Gregory Peck,is still his best known film.
