Robbie Williams Too Busy To Return ‘Home’ For Birthday Celebrations

Robbie-WilliamsRobbie Williams turns 40 next month and a group of people from his home town of Stoke-on-Trent have planned a series of celebrations to mark the occasion, but sadly the Angels and Candy hit maker is too busy with his upcoming tour to make an appearance.

Robbie turns 40 on Thursday 13th February and local organiser Martin Tideswell explained what was happening as part of the Robbie Day celebrations. He said, “We wrote to Robbie to ask his permission to host these events. He said he was delighted, but because of his busy tour schedule it is unlikely that he will be back to Stoke this year.”

It is a shame that Robbie will not be attending the event and a local resident echoed the comments of organiser Martin Tideswell. They said, “It’s a bit hard to believe that he doesn’t have any free time in 2014 at all.”

As part of the celebrations the council are even naming three streets after Robbie, Angels Way, Candy Lane and Supreme Street, and there are bus tours taking place and an exhibition of Robbie pictures and his clothes too.

Even with his extremely busy schedule you would have thought that Robbie would be able to spare one day and visit his home town, but as is the way with many celebrities these days they seem to forget their roots.
