Rihanna leaves the hospital, postpones concert

As it turned out, it was R&B singer Rihanna who got beaten to a pulp by Chris Brown. And according to, Rihanna’s injuries were pretty severe. She suffered a bloody lip and nose and two big contusions on her forehead.

The violent fight took place on a quiet block in Hancock Park, where Brown had stopped the rented Lamborghini he was driving. Police say Brown and his companion (Brown’s girlfriend Rihanna) “became involved in an argument. After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker.”

The car has reportedly been impounded because the alleged assault may have begun in the vehicle.

Rihanna is currently helping investigators to build a domestic violence case against her boyfriend, a police source said yesterday.

Since the fight, Rihanna has left the hospital and decided to postpone her sold-out concert scheduled for Friday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She has also cancelled her big New York City birthday party, which was going to be held on February 20.

But Rihanna is not the only one cancelling her appearances. Chris Brown is also taking a step back from the lime light by pulling out of his scheduled appearance Sunday at the 2009 NBA All-Star-Game.

In addition, one of the companies Brown has (or maybe we should say “had”) an endorsement deal with has already turned its back on him. Wrigley – the famous chewing gum company – has suspended its ad campaign for Doublemint gum, which features Chris Brown singing and dancing.

I hope she has dumped him by now. If he did this once, he will definitely do it again!
