Have you seen those reports that have stated Sylvester Stallone was found dead at the age of 70? These stories supposedly came from CNN and the big news made it to Facebook on Saturday, September 3rd, which in fact made this very heartbreaking news go viral.
Many who actually saw these reports had meltdowns, the news story that allegedly originated from CNN, received a lot of placidly on the Facebook page for showing pictures that were supposed to be “Rocky” being transported away laying on a gurney while he was in a body bag. This breaking news story stated that this Oscar Nominated actor was allegedly found while he was at his home in Las Angeles. This of course led his fans into a total frenzy, but only a few of his fans actually caught on to the fact that the photos were actually altered. Thankfully these few did catch it and it was discovered to be just another celebrity death hoax that was used as bait in order to get those Facebook users to click on the page.
So, this seems to come down to the fact that Sylvester is alive and well, and that this hoax was an attempt in order to gain access to your private information. Angelina Jolie as well as Miley Cyrus have also been targets of this sort of hoax on Facebook before. In the month of August, a website that is known as Entertainment News Update reported the shocking news that Angelina Jolie at the age of 41 actually committed suicide. This caused a lot of concern within the viewing fan base due to the fact that it actually reported how she said her good byes to her husband, Brad Pitt at the age of 52.
