Redmond O’Neal, 24, got permission to leave jail last Saturday to visit his mother, actress Farrah Fawcett, who is battling anal cancer.
O’Neal was escorted by police to Fawcett, who is currently staying at the family’s home in Malibu, OK! Magazine reports.
The 62-year-old actress was diagnosed with rectal cancer in 2006 and has undergone both chemotherapy and surgery. On her 60th birtday, the AP reported that she was cancer free, but in May 2007 it was reported that a malignant polyp had been found in the same area where Fawcett had previously been treated.
O’Neal is behind bars for violating his parole stemming from drug charges.
