Reality Show Contestant Dies in His Sleep, Age 23



 

Todd Homme, a contestant on Blush: The Search For The Next Great Make-Up Artist,  died at his New York home, aged 23.

Homme was found by  partner Neal Krogh, 34, on Saturday night. No cause of death has been determined.

“He went to sleep..and never woke up,” Homme’s mother Marianne Amster told TV Guide.

“He was all excited about what was going on with the show. He was up all night, went to sleep during the day and he died in his sleep.

“I went to the medical examiner early today, and they took tissue samples from his organs and the doctor said they couldn’t find anything wrong with him. No drugs, alcohol or pills.”

The end show of Lifetime’s reality series, which offered the contestants a  contract with Max Factor and a $100,000 prize,will be on the air today

Maureen Lewit who is another contestant on the show had this comment “Todd Homme was such a wonderful human being and he shined both professionally as a make-up artist, and as a person who was so thrilled about what lied ahead in his life and his work.

“His spirit of determination and his friendship will be sorely missed.”
