It didn’t even take the jury a whole day to find R&B star R. Kelly not guilty of all the 14 counts of videotaping himself while allegedly having sex with an underage girl, according to E! Online.
If the singer had been convicted he might have ended up behind bars for between 4 to 15 years.
Kelly’s sexual-activities-with-underage-girls-problem dates back to the early 90s, when a number of girls claimed to have had sex with him, but it was in 2002 that prosecutors began building the child-pornography case against him.
The tape scandal and child pornography charges started after a video tape surfaced in 2002, allegedly showing Kelly and a 14-year-old girl having sex. The tape was sent to the Chicago Sun-Times by an anonymous source.
Both the girl and R. Kelly have always denied that they are the people in the video.
