The internet broke today when pictures emerged from the most-anticipated wedding this year.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the knot.
The wedding went on for a few days, they had two ceremonies and Priyanka’s fashion is all the Fashion Police is talking right now.
The Christian Ceremony
The two represent a match made in heaven according to their fans and all the pictures from their wedding show, is that love is in the air.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas exchanged vows and finally became Man and Wife over the weekend. The couple got married according to both Christian wedding rituals and a traditional Hindu ceremony.
The Christian wedding took place on Saturday where Chopra wore a hand-beaded and embroidered Ralph Lauren gown with a 75-foot veil and Nick wore a suit of the same label.
The wedding dress took a total of 1,826 hours to complete. It was closed with 135 satin-covered buttons. Underneath the long-sleeve gown was a strapless column dress made up of 2,380,000 mother of pearl sequins. They turned to Ralph Lauren who dressed them both for 2017 Met Gala when they first met and the rest is history.
The ceremony was officiated by Nick’s father, Paul Kevin Jonas. Magazines reported that Nick’s eyes filled with tears when he saw his bellowed walk down the aisle.
“The emotions were running high during the ceremonies, especially during the Western wedding for me. You know, you think your whole life about that moment,” Jonas commented their wedding.
“Honestly, I could not have imagined it would be as perfect as it was. It was highly emotional.”
The Hindu Ceremony
The Hindu ceremony was held in Priyanka’s native India on Sunday at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur.
Both the couple looked royal in their wedding attire. Priyanka wore a traditionally layered ensemble by Sabyasachi. Priyanka walked down the aisle holding her mother Madhu Chopra’s hand and Nick was followed by his mother Denise Miller Jonas.
Around 1,000 people were invited to attend the after-ceremony Taj Palace reception, and some of the attendees were Bollywood and Hollywood celebrities. Groom’s brother, Joe Jonas was there with his fiancée Sophie Turner.
The wedding of Quantico star and American singer was long-anticipated since their love pictures are filling magazines and tabloids for quite some time. The lovebirds are madly in love from the first day and it was just a matter of time they decide to tie the knot.
