Sussex will soon receive a pair of brand new titles, as royals are going to become parents!
Prince Harry and Megan Markle have announced on Monday that they are expecting their first child in spring.
The Big News
The Duchess of Sussex was in the midst of speculation about her possible pregnancy for weeks and they grew even more after the Princess Eugene’s wedding on Friday, 12 October, when Megan wore a buttoned Givenchy coat through the entire event.
Kensington Palace decided to confirm the news on 15 October announcing their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting a baby in the spring of 2019.
“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public,” the statement said.
Royal Tour
The parents-to-be kicked off their first royal tour as a married couple on the same day the news broke out.
They will visit Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand on their tour and the first stop was Admiralty House where thy met with Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove and Lady Lynne Cosgrove. The royals were gifted a stuffed animal kangaroo with a baby joey in its pouch and a pair of baby Uggs.
Megan was thrilled and referred to the present as their first baby gift. They will also spend time at the 2018 Invictus Games, Prince Harry himself founded in 2014. He will climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge and raise the flag of the Invictus Games.
The happy news came five months after Megan and Harry tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel in May. They both wanted to start a family in the near future and as far as we know, she is pregnant 12 weeks.
Bookies have already fallen in a complete frenzy about the baby’s possible name. Diana is among bookies‘ favorites with odds eight to one, followed by Victoria with odds seven to one. Foe a boy, the odds are in favor of Alexander, Charles and Arthur.
Considering Megan isn’t afraid to break traditions, the couple could easily dismiss all the traditional choices.
