Madonnas camp, who gave us the infamous story about the photog jumping out of the bushes and spooking her horse appear to be less than believable to the police, the photographers..and the world at large.. in fact, the horse story is apparently a fish story…
The cops say that its a case of spin control, and that no one at any time reported to them that a photographer cause the incident.
Sgt. Herbert Johnson from the Southampton Village P.D. said: “There is no mention of photographers. It’s a matter of spin control that went out of control. If they felt there was something else, they would have written ‘paparazzi’ in the form — if they felt there was a problem.
Paparazzi also called Madonnas folks a lot less than truthful. TMZ reports that “the paparazzo who claims he was the only pap around when Madonna fell off her horse on Saturday says he isn’t to blame for her fall — and he claims Madonna’s peeps are straight up lying about what went down.”
Our own little country horse expert has this to say.. “a horse who is well trained should not be startled by someone snapping a photo, nor would someone who snapped the photo fail to be startled in their own right by the horse’s ensuing antics.. Sounds like hogwash”
UPDATE: The NY Post has exclusive photos of Madonna on the horse and the aftermath of the accident, and they agree that her horse was not spooked by a photog.
The NY Post says specifically that: “There were no photographers near Madonna at the time of the stumble.”
