Chinese police hired actors to rob a bank without telling employees or even management or guards that it was a training drill.
The director and deputy director of the Zhenzhou police department have come under some serious scrutiny and criticism for permitting the practice robbery and raide without telling anyone else at all, reports Guangzhou Daily.
Staff and customers in the Post Office Bank were more than just a little bit frightened and shocked when four ‘robbers’ charged the building, ordering everyone inside to drop to the floor.
Critics voiced their fears that the actors could have been killed, while the psychological effect the incident could have had on employees was also questioned.
A police spokesman said that the force did not have a pre-set plan for the drill and the timing, location and method of robbery were decided on the spot.
