Brad Pitt has gone to visit some of the homes in New Orleans built by his ‘Make It Right’ foundation.
Pitt took the time to go to some of the areas struck by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 to inspect newly built eco-friendly houses funded by his charity.
He said he was “amazed” at the redevelopment however, he did state that more still has to be done to re-house all those left homeless in the wake of the disaster.
“The excitement is that it’s being proven, but the frustration is that it’s a long way to go,” he told the BBC.
Residents used the visit from the actor to take the chance to thank Pitt for his charity work.
“He didn’t have to do this. I’m just grateful that he is,” one 71-year-old resident said.
