Lohans recent attack by animal rights activists does make you wonder doesn’t it, which group was responsible for it, and what they would prefer that she wears. While we certainly don’t promote the use of animal goods, they are certainly far more biodegradeable than the alternatives promoted by the Animal rights groups.
Peta’s well known denigration of leather and leather goods, promoting instead Pleather, an unnatural substitute, using such washed up– over used– porn stars as Jenna Jamieson, have apparently convinced Natalie Imbruglia to strip for their latest assault on the earth.
Perhaps the star hasn’t done her home work. The Peta campaigns have always amused those with the slightest intellect, which apparently doesn’t include the Peta founders and media sleezes.
The vegan lifestyle, the promotion of animal rights and considerations are wonderful things. The “Muffy and the Do Gooders concept is of course laudable, however, if your vegan solution is pleather, then you’ve got a bit of work to do.
If you’re not aware of PVC plastics hazards to the environment, Peta certainly won’t be honest and enlighten you.
It is the “poison plastic.”
Poly vinyl chloride is in everything from shower curtains to sex toys.
There is no safe way to make it and certainly no safe way to get rid of it.
It is made with a host of softeners that are known carcinogens(pthalates) and it cannot be recycled because of all the stuff that’s put into it. According to Mike Shade from the Center for Health, Environment, and Justice, one PVC bottle can contaminate a recycling load of 100,000 bottles.
Interesting concept that. Save the animals and make your family extinct??.
