”American Idol” judge Paula Abdul denies criticizing the show’s new forth judge Kara DioGuardi, Usmagazine.com reports.

OK! Magazine recently reported that Abdul has said that the show doesn’t really work with four judges because it takes up so much time for each of them to give their opinions that is slows down the pace of the show - a statement DioGuardi has not found particularly amusing.

But now it seems as though Abdul has changed her mind. In fact, she has now told Usmagazine.com that the quote was taken out of context and that she was not referring to DioGuardi at all, but to the concept of having guest judges on the show.

Hmmm… Seems like Paula dodged a bullet with that one!!!
