Actor Patrick Swayze, who is currently battling pancreatic cancer, has developed pneumonia and has checked himself into a hospital for observation, the HollywoodReporter.com reports.
“Patrick has asked that I tell you that he has checked himself into the hospital this morning for observation after coming down with pneumonia. As anyone who has had a friend or family member that has undergone treatment for cancer, chemotherapy can take a toll on you immune system,” Raven said during an event for television critics in Los Angeles yesterday, where Swayze was scheduled to discuss his upcoming A&E series “The Beast, which premiers next week”
“Patrick wishes me to tell you that he’s very sorry he cannot attend, but plans to get back to promoting The Beast soon.”
