A hair extension company that signed a deal with Paris Hilton in 2007 is seriously pissed at the heiress and they are going after her in a big way.
She reportedly signed a multi-million dollar deal with the company to wear and promote their line of extensions and then reneged on the deal, reportedly causing them a whopping $35,000,000 in damages.
Hilton was paid $3.5 million dollars to promote Hairtech International’s Dream Catcher hair extension line back in 2007. Instead of wearing the hair company’s locks as she was contractually obligated to, she instead opted to wear a competitors’.
Hairtech is also trying to go after Hilton for her 2007 jail stint. According to Hairtech, there was a clause (which was implied) in her contract that assumed she would abide by the law. She didn’t which was evidenced by the fact that she went to jail that year. While she was in jail, she wasn’t able to attend the company’s launch party.
When Paris didn’t show up, neither did 600 professionals who specialize in hair extensions. This resulted in the company missing out on numerous opportunities to network and thus potential revenue. Who knew weave could be so costly?
Paris’s people aren’t talking….yet but stay tuned.
