It’s time to get excited because the nominations for the 2020 Oscars have been revealed!
With there being less than a month until the next Oscars, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced this year’s nominees with the help of the actors John Cho and Issa Rae.
They’ve read who is in the game to win the award for the best acting, writing and directing, among others.
No Joking Around!
Joker is the movie which received the most nominations – even 11 of them, such as nominations in the categories of Best Picture, Actor in a Leading Role, and Directing.
Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood follows with 10 nominations, and other films with multiple nominations include The Irishman, 1917, Jojo Rabbit, Little Women, and Marriage Story.
Parasite, the movie which everyone has been raving about and which recently won a Golden Globe for foreign language motion picture, has got six Oscar nominations. It is also making history by being the first South Korean nominee ever in the best picture category.

This year’s ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.
The 92nd Oscars will be broadcasted live by the ABC Television Network at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT. The Oscars will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide, too.
Last year’s ceremony didn’t have a host and this will be the case this year as well.
Karey Burke, president of Disney-owned ABC Entertainment, which will air the ceremony, stated that this year’s award show will not have a “traditional host,” however it will still be an “entertaining show.”
