The five band members of One Direction are reportedly worth in the region of £12million each, not bad considering they didn’t even win The X-Factor (they came third if you remember in 2010), but that has not stopped one band member trying to get the group something for nothing.
The bands new single is called ‘Midnight Memories’ and there is a line in the song that says “Way too many people in the Addison Lee”. Addison Lee are a Mini Cab firm in London, and yes you’ve guessed it after a plug in their latest song and a further plug on Twitter from band member Louis Tomlinson the boys have bagged themselves a years worth of free taxi rides!
Louis started the ball rolling at the weekend by saying, “Surely we get some kind of @AddisonLeeCabs gold card for the name drop haha !!?? (sic).” Well the plug worked because a source has revealed all to the Daily Mirror Newspaper by saying, “Addison Lee were delighted to be mentioned in the song. They even tried to see how many people you could actually fit in one of their cabs off the back of it. So they were more than happy to give something in return. Thanks to Louis, they came up with the idea of giving them a year’s worth of free cab journeys.”
At the time of writing One Direction’s new single ‘Midnight Memories’ has received nearly 14million hits on You Tube, not a bad bit of advertising for a London Taxi Company is it!
