The Oscar winning actress Halle Berry is expecting her second child later this year with her fiancé Olivier Martinez, and in recent weeks there have been many rumours in the press suggesting that the couple were expecting a boy. Well yesterday Martinez confirmed those rumours to People Magazine saying he and Halle are expecting a son.
In an interview yesterday with People Magazine Frenchman Martinez said, “My son will be an American, but I remain French. He then went onto speak about being French, but living in America. He said, “I remain a Frenchman in America, but I adapt to American culture. I feel good there, but I’m still a foreigner.” He then went on to repeat the fact that he and Halle were expecting a baby boy because he said again, “My son will be an American.”
Earlier this year Berry announced she was pregnant and that her daughter was “really happy” at the news she would have a little brother or sister to play with. Berry said, “Nahla’s really happy. Not long ago she asked God for a little sister, but I tried not to get her hopes up. At 46, I didn’t know if I’d be able to get pregnant again. Olivier and I have always wanted to be parents. But I didn’t want to get my hopes up. God made the dream come true. This pregnancy is like a miracle for me, an amazing gift, because this child was as wished for as it was expected. It’s like a renewal of life.”
Berry and Martinez are currently in France for the Champs-Elysées Film Festival, and Berry looked radiant as she walked the streets of Paris. She will be 47 by the time her son is born and women all over the world will be hoping they look as good as she does right now at 46 and five months pregnant.
